Refund Policy - The New Zealand School of Travel & Tourism

NZSTT refund policy complies with Section 4B (7) of the Education Amendment (No. 4) Act 1991 for international students and Section 236A Education Act 1989, for domestic students.

Students that do not commence their tuition, or withdraw from a course within the first eight days, NZSTT will refund all fees paid less an amount equal to the lower of the following amounts:

  • 10% of the payment; or
  • $500

Students who withdraw after the eighth day of the start of the course will forfeit all monies paid.

Students will be entitled to a full refund if a visa application has been denied.

Note:
In many instances, students have taken out education loans in their home country for the specific purpose of studying Travel, Tourism and Business at NZSTT (in other cases, parents or sponsors have funded student's study).

Visas to travel to New Zealand have also been granted on this basis, therefore, in the instance that an international student withdraws from their programme of study within eight days of course commencement, the refund of fees (as outlined in the policy above), will be paid directly to the home country bank account from which they came. NZSTT will notify immigration that the student has withdrawn. Student fees will in no case be transferred to an alternative provider in New Zealand.

Agents acting on behalf of students studying in New Zealand will be notified.
